Liquifi architecture
Wat are the building blocks of a Liquifi site?
In general
In Liquifi pages are derived from (page) templates. Templates are derived from grids. Both templates and pages can be filled with components.
Grids and containers
Everything starts with a few grids. Grids are the main page layouts. the define the regions on the site pages. The regions are called containers in Liquifi. The will contain the components of the pages.
Typically, a site has 2 or 3 grids. They unify the site design. This establishes consistency Throughout the site.
Templates
A template defines the blueprint for pagelayout and page functionality. In Liquifi it is possible to configure functional parts, called components, on templates. Components can be "frozen" on template level, which means the can't be altered on page level anymore (this is typically the case for footers, headers, crumb paths, ...).
Pages
Pages are derived from templates. On page setup you pick the components from all possible components as defined in the template. All you have to do to complete your page is fill out the data in the components.
Components
Components are all functional parts on your website.
